What’s a girl with a big bum, hips, and boobs to do nowadays? With the measurements for models shrinking, ever since the institution of ultra skinny supermodels and the late 1990’s/early 2000’s “Heroin Chic,” it makes it harder and harder for women not in the 0-6 range to fit into stylish garb. But wait! There is still hope for the fashionably curvaceous! And it comes to us in the form of a brand called Bettie Page Clothing, for the stylish and vintage loving woman in us all. As made evident by the name, this company is based off of the fashions of the 1950’s burlesque star and pin-up queen Bettie Page! One of the many awesome things about them is that they carry not only the usual XS-L but all the way up to a 4XL, which fits a dress size 20 or the measurement 44”-38”-50”. This makes it easier for most women to find a size that will fit and flatter them. Along with dresses, Bettie Page Clothing carries pants, shirts, and undergarments. With stores popping up all over, they’re consistently making it easier for women to find a store they can actually shop in and, with their positive sales people and flattering styles; they’re finally helping women to not worry as much about their voluptuous bodies. I discovered this store during one of my adventures on Haight Street in San Francisco and instantly loved it! Although they are a little bit pricey for a starving artist/college student I love the two dresses I got and was pleasantly surprised by their helpful and friendly staff. I give the Bettie Page Clothing Company five stars!
